Ways To Give

Outright Gifts
Gifts of cash, securities, real estate or  assets such as life insurance policies, IRA’s, or personal property such as jewelry or art work can all be tax deductible donations.  Contact the United Methodist Foundation of New England (800-595-4347) or your estate planning professional for guidance.

 Wills & Bequests
Your Will is the most important documents you will create during your lifetime and is most common vehicle for planned gifts.
Wills enable individuals to:

  • Proactively support a charity
  • Specify property distribution
  • Direct the timing of distributions
  • Choose your executor
  • Exercise tax savings

Life Income Gifts
Life Income gifts provide income to donors for life and can fund pledges or tithes. Options include Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Gift Annuities, and Charitable Lead Trusts.  Contact the Foundation for a confidential gift projection.  These gifts are made during your lifetime, triggering tax benefits and creating your charitable gift.

Memorial Gifts
Gifts to the Endowment Fund can also be made in memory of a loved one or devoted friend.  In addition, Living Memorial gifts honor person’s still living, recognize special events such as birthdays, anniversary, marriage, confirmation, baptism or other special milestones.
