We offer childcare in our nursery for infants through age 5 from 8:15-12:15 covering our regular services by our professional childcare providers. During the summer, we offer childcare from 9:15 -10:45 am.

This year our Pre/Kindergarten Class will be using “All-in-One Bible Fun”. The children will learn and explore Bible stories and create a special craft connected to the Bible story.

Our 1st & 2nd Grade Class will be using the United Methodist curriculum, DeepBlue – At Home with God. This curriculum will help families grow in faith together as children take what they’ve learned in Sunday school and dive deeper into the stories at home with their families. Children will explore families in the Bible, learn how today’s faith families care for children as they grow, build loving relationships, and find out what it means to be part of God’s family!

The 3rd – 5th grade class will be using “Whirl” a curriculum that will connect worship with Church School. This curriculum will help children understand the Christian year and its seasons. Each week, children will begin class by identifying where they are in the Christian Year and watch an animated video to set up the lesson. Next, they dive into the Bible story and respond with creative activities.

Our church adapted a Safe Sanctuary Policy  for the well being and safety of our children and youth.  The purpose of this policy is to demonstrate our absolute and unwavering commitment to the physical safety and spiritual growth of our children and youth.  Please review this policy with your family.

Tuesdays 4:00 – 5:00 pm

Children, ages 4 through 5th grade are invited to join us for worship arts. This program is led by Cheryl Ortolf and Cheryl Cruickshank.  We have snack from 4:00 – 4:10 p.m. and then break into 2 different age groups.  During art time the children will learn about a Bible story and make a craft connected to the Bible story.  We use all types of art media to be creative!  The children also have music time which is the Worship Art’s children choir. Please refer to the Music page for additional information about the Worship Arts Children’s Choir.

In March we celebrate CampSunday, and distribute information packets on all the camp opportunities.  Scholarships are provided to help defray the cost of children and youth that attend the Conference Church Camps at  Camp Aldersgate, North Scituate, RI; Camp Wanakee, Meredith, NH; and Camp Mechuwana, ME.

Our church school supports our church’s mission projects in various ways throughout the year.  This way our children will have a better understanding as to what our church does to help people in the community and throughout the world.  Our two big projects will be Thanksgiving Baskets and our Advent Mission Focus.

Throughout the year the Church School also participates in various Service projects such as: make Valentines and cards to home bound and those in need.
